David works with commercial real estate developers, assisting them with the financing, acquisition and development of raw land and other developed properties, with an emphasis on multi-family housing. He has extensive experience in multi-family affordable housing development throughout North Carolina, including loan closings with the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, Centrant Community Capital, United States Department of Agriculture – Rural Development, Federal Home Loan Bank, Affordable Housing Program and equity closings with national investors and syndicators.

He also has extensive experience with the acquisition and financing of market rate multi-family apartment projects, including HUD insured loans.

In addition, David assists title companies and law firms throughout the country to ascertain and certify the status of titles in North Carolina.

He is regularly requested to serve as a substitute trustee in commercial foreclosure actions.

• Represented the Buyer in the acquisition of a portfolio of multi-family apartment complexes.
• Represented the Buyer in the acquisition of a portfolio of national chain auto parts stores.
• Represented the developers of several multi-million dollar apartment complexes.

• Closed the acquisition of multiple sites for the development of the Dell Webb community in Durham, NC.
• Extensive title investigations for solar farms throughout North Carolina.
